The public is invited to review the following cancelled projects of the County that had been included in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Action Plan, which identified projected use of funds for July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023 for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). 

FIRST DISTRICT PROJECTS

Agency Name:  North East Trees
Program Name:  Public Improvements at Nueva Maravilla
Project Number: 602511-22
Original CDBG Amount: $150,000

Description: This new project would have provided public improvement landscaping at the Nueva Maravilla Housing Development located at 4919 E. Cesar Chavez Blvd, Los Angeles CA through the involvement of local youth in the community.  The agency declined the CDBG funding, indicating another funding source was available to them for this activity. 

Agency Name:  Servant’s Arms
Program Name:  Servant's Arms - Food Pantry and Services (1st District)
Project Number: 602519-22
Original CDBG Amount: $30,000

Description: This new project would have provided food to low- and moderate-income residents in unincorporated San Gabriel Valley with the service of the local food pantry.  The agency declined the CDBG funding, indicating that they did not have capacity to administer the program.
