Project Cancellation - California Conservation Corps

 

The public is invited to review the following cancelled projects of the County that had been included in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Action Plan, which identifies projected use of funds for July 1, 2022– June 30, 2023 for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). 

FIRST SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT PROJECTS

Agency Name:  California Conservation Corps.
Program Name:  1st District Urban Farm Community Gardens
Project Number:  602559-22
Original CDBG Amount:  $200,000
Description:  This new project would have created a community urban garden for the low- to  moderate-income area residents.  The public improvements were to have been made at 4328 E. 4th Street and 4341 Eagle Street in East Los Angeles.  The agency declined the CDBG funding, as another funding source was available to them for this activity.

Program Name:  Earthwork Farm Public Improvements
Project Number:  602560-22
Original CDBG Amount:  $130,000
Description:  This new project would have provided for Public Improvements and a shipping container building for meeting space in the Whittier Narrows area.  The agency declined the CDBG funding, as another funding source was available to them for this activity. 

Agency Name:  California Conservation Corps.
Program Name:  Earthwork Farm – Food and Workforce Training Program – Whittier Narrows
Project Number:  602561-22
Original CDBG Amount:  $70,000
Description:  This new project would have funded the Earthwork Farm Food Insecurity Program in the Whittier Narrows area.  The agency declined the CDBG funding, as another funding source was available to them for this activity.
