The Los Angeles County Development Authority's (LACDA) jurisdiction includes all unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. There are 88 incorporated cities in Los Angeles County and 18 have their own public housing agencies:
Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program
The LACDA serves the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County (areas that are not part of a city) and 62 incorporated cities. Renters with a Section 8 voucher may look for housing within these eligible areas.
Public Housing Program Only
The LACDA has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Long Beach Housing Authority to permit residents of the City of Long Beach to be classified as in-jurisdiction applicants for housing at the Carmelitos Public Housing development only.
Verify Your Location
The LACDA provides the following mapping resource to verify if your current home address or a rental unit is located within its service area. If you are out of jurisdiction, check with your city for housing availability options.
