PUBLIC NOTICE

The public is invited to review the following proposed off-cycle project of the County to be included in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Action Plan, which identifies projected use of funds for July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026 for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

FOURTH DISTRICT PROJECT

CDBG Allocation: $100,000

Description: The new project provides for the rehabilitation of Amelia Mayberry Park Senior Center which will focus on facility improvements to the existing kitchen and adjoining multi-purpose space. The scope of work includes a comprehensive renovation and upgrade of the kitchen area and ancillary improvements to the multi-purpose space. The improvements will include replacement of permanently affixed cabinetry, counters, flooring, and painting to improve the overall functionality of the spaces and enhance overall aesthetics and will take place at 13201 Meyer Road, Whittier CA 90605. This activity meets the HUD National Objective as a project serving Low- and Moderate-Clientele under HUD Code 03A.
