Description: This new project will assist seniors in remaining healthy and active through participation in recreational, educational, and leisure activities by providing education seminars to maintain health, recreation activities for movement and empowerment skills, and social networking events to increase socialization and decrease isolation. The program will be held at the YWCA Union Pacific Empowerment Center (4315 Union Pacific Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90023). This activity meets the HUD National Objective as a project serving Low- and Moderate-Income Clientele under HUD Code 05A (Senior Services).
